I was curious to know how many freight cars are still out there with DL&W markings? I was at the old ridgefield park station doing some fanning and noticed a kinda old hopper car with DL&W faded on it. There was a newer markings painted at the top of the car. But the DL&W were clearly visible.

Dozens still in E-L paint all over the country....hoppers and gons seem to be the most common survivors. Two dozen plus hacks have been spared/saved and refurbished as well.

I recall a poster here who has compiled a very interesting list of surviving E-L equipment....

A few years ago I saw a coal hopper still (faintly) lettered DL&W on the southern tier mainline.

In Elmira by the loco shops there is a landlocked pair of boxcars - Erie and DL&W. At least back in 2000 there was.
