Unfortunately I will probably miss the move. Does anyone here plan to watch (and video or photograph) from anywhere tonight or tomorrow? Anyone going down to Fresh Pond tonight to watch NYAR assemble the train that will have these units on them? Too bad the move from FP to Pineaire will be done at night. It would be interesting to be able to pace the units along Long Island Ave on that stretch from Pinelawn to the next road.

RS 60 left Pine Aire at 10:35 A.M. its usual departure time. 268,270, 1017, 1010 and the 155. 1017 and 1010 to Brookhaven Rail Terminal. MP15AC 155 was left at Calverton for stone drop next week. Myself and Chris A were on hand. Emfinite knows Chris. Nice video Joe. Chris usually uploads images to Railpictures.net. Bill

Thanks for the heads up on this move. As luck would have it my son had a playoff game at Baseball Heaven just down the road from the terminal. After dropping him off I had some time to kill before the game started. Found the engines. They are shoved all the way into the complex. They are visible from the LIE north service road just east of Sills Road (exit 66).

Nice shots. I found them on my way home and grabbed pics but the look the same as yours. I hope they dont get tagged. They are kind of in a bad spot as it is really quiet there at night. Looks like this terminal railroad has got nicer power than nya now lol. Even though the paint job is really simplistic it is high quality and looks pretty sharp. Wish I could have caught them on their way out. Big day- first time brookhaven gets service and they run all the way up the calverton spur in the same day.

That is unfortunately the first thought I had. I can't help but think you had better get your pictures soon. They look like 2 big black blank canvases. If you watch that youtube clip 155 seems to have been visited by those "socio-economically deprived youth" as well.

Heard a lot of informative news today from the crew. Lots of traffic to be expected at this new rail terminal once everything is in place. They are expecting all sorts of commodities, some of which being lumber, plastics and aggregate. US Rail officials, NYAR staff and Brookhaven town officials were on site today for the delivery of the two engines. Here are a few photos below:
