Cornfield meet for BNSF on the historic CB&Q route of the Pioneer Zephyr, the mainline from Murray Yard, Northtown to Lincoln.

Brief passage:

Two northbound BNSF freight trains collided shortly after 10 a.m. Sunday about 40 miles northwest of Kansas City.

No one appeared injured in the accident that occurred when one train rear-ended the other, said Capt. Frank Hunter of the Platte County Sheriff’s Department. The smell of diesel was heavy around the accident scene, but Hunter said it was unclear how much of the fuel spilled or precisely from where it came.

Traffic is moving again. This morning at 0450 Central I saw a SB coal unit train 1/2 mile north of Waldron.

That's not really a "corn field meet," it's a rear-end collision. A "corn field meet" is a head-on collision, more like the one up on the Great Falls, MT line that they show in BNSF's Training Center in Overland Park.
