unfortunately the lighting was not the best
enjoy
again thank you for all the information that made it possible to get the images

Nice shots! :)
(FYI, your cameras date isnt set correctly! ;)
not a huge deal, but someday you might want to know the exact day a certain photo was taken,
so its something you should try to fix..)

I just checked the EXIF Data in the images
it states 5/3/2013
when uploaded to the website it states
May 4 on the image
I will try to correct
Thank You

The web site states the day it was uploaded
this is an international website
and the date is May 4 already
I can not change it
however the EXIF data in the camera is correct
it state May 3, 2013
as capture date
I added comment to image to indicate capture date

8100 is on it, but I would like to know if it is leading or trailing.

Mike
There is one spotting report here:

https://heritageunits.com/Locomotive/NS8100

That says it was seen Westbound at Oneida, NY at 8:00 AM, not leading.

Actually, it says unsure if leading in the notes section at the bottom of the report.
So it wasn't an actual sighting.
Getting too late to make a trip up to the main in time to see it, guess I'll sit this one out.

Well thats annoying..
why would someone create a spotting report if they havent actually seen the train??
people shouldn't do that..
this is how bad info is spread..

(turns out we now know for a fact it isnt leading..but still..)

NIce picture! and nice to see place where I usually sit in past... I figure that I wont even make to QC 349, but apparently I would had because 8100 stopped in city.. If it did not stopped in city, I might as well missed it in Fairport.

you're welcome (heritage Unit website)...

He could have access to CSX system (customer??) it doesnt tell you if it's leading or not. CSX system is more accure than anyone else...

nyswb40 wrote:"Okay I wonder why its moving slowly"

He was moving slowly because he has 13k tons on the drawbar, and even with 3 units online, with the uphill pull out of Buffalo, he went over the Lancaster HBD at 27mph. Following alongside on Rte. 33 I can tell you he did 25-30 up to CP-417 then when he got over the top around Corfu he took right off. Should be approaching Rochester; Amtk 64 was first eastbound ahead of him
Didn't u went to bridge in Lancaster?
