Has Amtrak ever detoured on the CSS&B

the old amtrak depot/CSS depot (Bendix) still has the track there and line poles but no wire.

Aside from maybe occasional use, emergency backup use from the airport as a thought.

There had been talk of extending the SS to Elkhart, rumors or not, whatever.

if Bendix aint using carload, maybe its time to prod them back?... (sneakygrin)

Here's what happened, Turns out that someone in the Amtrak CNOC, at literally the last second, nixed the moves via the CSS&SB. We still are not sure of what the hell all happened there
