GE Transportation has signed its third major deal in recent months. This one is worth $1 billion. Here is the Kazakhstan info which I didn't see posted previously.
GE Transportation has signed a $1 billion framework deal with Ukraine Railways.
Included in that deal is an agreement to provide 30 Evolution series freight locomotives, additional locomotives kits, rehabilitate existing locomotives and provide long-term maintenance services.
GE Transportation wins $900 million order.
GE Transportation has won an order to build 300 shunter locomotives. Although some of the parts will come from Erie, the locomotives will be assembled thousands of miles away in Kazakhstan.
GE Transportation has signed a pair of deals worth more than $900 million with Kazakhstan’s state-run railroad, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy or KTZ.
The contracts include the delivery of 300 shunter locomotives — small locomotives typically used in rail yards or to make short hauls — and an 18-year service agreement to manage the maintenance and repair of 175 passenger GE Evolution locomotives.
