From SF to CR?

This is one of those things that has to make you wonder. How did ex- ATSF Full Dome Lounge #552 transfered from ATSF to CR, and then to NS? Here is a pic with her in CR Business Livery:

I mean, what would CR have to do with a Dome Car? Didn't PC have atleast 1 or 2 ex-PRR ones?

PRR, NYC, or PC never had any domes. Walthers released domes in those roadnames as a blanket release.

Built in 1954 for the Santa Fe 'Francisco Chief' number 552. This car was purchased by the Auto Train in 1971 and numbered 514. In 1981 the car exchanged hands until sold to Conrail in 1988. This dome could be see wondering the system with the OCS in Stainless steel until finally being painted into full OCS colors. Norfolk Southern now uses the car on its Office Car Trips in full NS paint as Norfolk Southern 'Delaware'.

And CR left the inside (lower level) as the ATSF had her. She was a very nice looking car on the inside. On the second level, CR had some tables with the CR logo's on them. I had the future of riding in her for a day trip back when it was still CR in the mid 90's. What a day that was.
