While going through some old ALCO material recently, I came across a 1968 photo of ALCO Engineer Denis Dominy being cited with the World Engineer Award. Extending congratulations to Mr. Dominy in the photo are ALCO Products President Ed Forbes and Engineering Manager - Locomotives & Engine Products Division Frank Gaenger. (In 1968 Mr. Dominy was recognized not only for his outstanding contribution to the major redesign of existing turbochargers, but also in the development of completely new turbo designs).

Does anyone know where Mr. Dominy ended up after S-W terminated locomotive production? Did he remain in the U.S. or did he return to the UK?

Thanks.

Mr. Dominy passed away a few years ago in Summerville, SC. His daughter, Michele Dominy, is a Dean at Bard College in NY. She may appreciate hearing from you.
He was a dear friend of mine and he is still greatly missed.
