I haven't heard any timeframe as to when the first set of rebuilt F40s will be placed into service but if I had to guess, I'd say sometime in the spring of 2009. This is based on it taking about a year for the work at CAD to be completed followed by two or three months testing. While these units will be quite different from 6400 on the inside, I don't expect to see much difference on the outside.

This means the rear platform and steps will not be there, the body shell will extend all the way to the back.
