What passenger equipment from the 'glory days' of the Panama, CNO, etc. still exist? Any in operable condition?

I know of one I.C. car that's actually for sale. at www.iltransit.com they have the "Baton Rouge" an 11 double bedroom sleeper. I'm not sure what trains at was assinged to but, hopefully it'll get the ball rolling. Also, I think that one railroad museum in Illinois is trying to but together a I.C. Passenger train...If I recall they had a car named "Council Bluffs"..maybe..maybe not..might have been a 10-6.

I notice from the list you posted, that quite a few cars went to the 18th Amendment Lounge, Shorewood, Il. Do they still reside there?

The Monticello Railway Museum has 7 pieces of ex-Illinois Central passenger equipment. IC combine #892, blt. in 1918. IC coach #2612 blt. in 1947. IC coach #2920 blt. 1925. IC office-observation car #7. IC coach #2855, blt. in the 1920's. IC baggage/dormitory #1906, blt in 1951. IC sleeper 10-roomette/6-bedroom #3531 "Council Bluffs" blt. in 1950. These are just a few pieces of Illinois Central equipment at the museum.[/url]

I forgot one. The Monticello Railway Museum aquired Illinois Central RPO #404 blt. in 1947.
