Man, even in it's current sorry state, that is one sharp locomotive! Seeing as how the engine seems to be toast on this unit, perhaps the best we can hope for is an exterior restoration, as a static display. Maybe the other one will be restored someday. As being arguably the best artistic design for a locomotive, it deserves to at least be on display.
Larkin apparently bought up a bunch of engine spares for the Baldwins when they showed up in Wells, and does have the ability to do an engine rebuild if and when the time comes to let them leave Wells for a museum or two.
