Erie Pullman that blocked Passaic, NJ on Friday nites

Growing up in Passaic in the early - mid 50's I would go shopping with my Mom and sister on Friday nites and about 8:30 PM a set of E-8's
would arrive at the station and block 2- 3 blocks while loading passengers and mail. I would always wait around theMonroe Street crossing for the 2 short tweets that came from the open window of the lead unit which would signal it was time to go> It had pullman and coaches and often carried an old style observation car with open end. What was the name of this train??

If it was westbound, based on the time it would have had to be No. 5, The Lake Cities, for Chicago, and since it operated daily the same thing probably happened every day, and not only with No. 5. (That was one of the reasons the city fathers wanted to get the trains out of downtown.)

Thank you for the name, yes it was westbound. I know it ran daily but Friday night in Passaic was the night the stores stayed open till 9 PM,
so that was the night that every came to a halt until it left for Paterson, Ridgewood, and beyond.
