Getting the itch to work on restoration of my 1966 Chevy, former EL 328-1. An E-L veteran previously identified this as the plumber's truck from Paterson NJ.

The badge plate lists standard trim, and paint "SPC". I presume this to be "Special Paint Color" or "Special Paint Code". The truck was typical yellow, not too far from a school bus color. While there are still places where the original paint is visible, I'd prefer to get a color name I can seek to have prepared. Does anybody have a specification for the color, or a Dupont number that can be duplicated? Thanks!

I have seen a photo from a calendar, showing River Junction NY tower, and there is a truck identical to this one in the photo. Any suggestions where I can get a copy of that photo?

By the way, progress is subject to having enough TIME and enough MONEY, preferably at the same time. Don't expect to see it on the road anytime soon, LOL.

Try 'Safety Yellow' it was used by electric utilities & the like thru the 60's prior to today's glowing greens & yellows. Every contractor had trucks that color. CAT yellow is darker.
