Hi guys! I have a Labor Day trip to Superior/Duluth planned and I'm aware of the LSRM and North Shore Scenic. Anything else I should plan to see? Anywhere really cool to stay? I also enjoy lake freighters. That said, I have an SO staying with me and she's probably not looking to camp or drive a long way into the wilderness to see a caboose if you get my drift. It has to be reasonable commercial although quaint is definitely cool.

Thanks!

The Harbor tours are good allowing you to see the Ore Docks and the MERC coal dock, plus whatever freighters that are in port. The Glensheen Mansion tour for the SO. The William A. Irvin Laker tour. Dinner and train ride on the Northshore Scenic Railroad.

Views from the Skyline Line Drive like this(telephoto lens)

The Radisson Hotel offers good views from the upper floors on the harbor side, but is pricey. And of course the SS Meteor museum across the harbor in Superior, WI.

John, thanks much. The Glensheen mansion is definitely on the list, but thanks for the boat tours. Those look great!
