Metro North owns the tracks on the Hudson Line as far as CP 75, so do they ever venture up that far to make a passenger train move of any sort? Used to be that trains did that before the advent of the Budd cars and the push-pulls. I guess it was to run the diesels around the train, but I don't know.

some of the trains still go up past cp75 to back into the yard, nice 2 mile shove.

Amtraks and Sometimes even freights will use the crossovers at 75 if the CSX dispatch wants the train on a certain track.

yes thats what crossovers are for, but question was about MNCR trains.
