The overall condition has improved? No, it really hasn't. In fact some areas are worse off now than they were under Conrail

Dinaso was in downtown Lakewood. They had a siding where CSAO, would set cars off for them. JCP&L also transloaded on the same track. this was all early 2000s so someone might know when JCP&L and Dinaso stopped receiving cars in downtown Lakewood. The third track where the cars would have been spotted is completely overgrown. the runaround in downtown has also seen better days.

Third track was removed a while ago and the siding probably isn't usable now. 2005 or 2006 they moved out of Downtown Lakewood to where Ferguson is now and continued to get the occasional lumber shipment for about a year or so before leaving again. Not many pictures exists of them wor-

I believe Dinaso as a company still exists. They may have moved to Staten Island.

The 7th Street crossing construction was somehow postponed for a month.

The Jewish community in town had a big holiday this week, so no one was really out and about. I guess they waited until now to take advantage of that. Less traffic to worry about since the detour is down a very thin road.

Train left Woodhaven around 1.

Main building of Dinaso is gone. I think the side buildings are next. Image

Taking bets on what is going to go where Dinaso once was... my bet is more townhouses!

They may have to pick up the tank they dropped at Brick Recycling on Tuesday. I'd go see it at Asbury Ave if you can. Look at what the track does when the train goes over it. The whole thing shifts now and makes the engine bounce.
