Thanks!
Yeah I've been MIA for a little while, I missed a lot of the changes and improvements that's been going on here and am still getting up to speed thanks to your dedication to this thread.

Your welcome. There's definitely been alot of changes. Some positive, some not so positive. That said, it is better now than it was under Conrails later years on this line.

I have been told the ties in Farmingdale are going to be put in between Farmingdale and the Earle Lead.

Not many people out for today's OLS train. It was OK. Caboose looks great.

There must be big plans for Earle if they are gonna replace the ties between there and Farmingdale.

It's being said on Facebook somewhere that Earle will be replacing their railcar fleet in the future and C&D will be bringing the new ones up and taking the old ones away for deposition. I'm not sure if it's true, but I have heard this occasionally come out of the rumor mill.

The post also mentions the new cars will be of "standard size" which I assume that means the exterior dimensions will be the same as the standard boxcars in use today.

4 for Woodhaven today with 1888. They left the DRRR sticker on it.

One of these cars is an older Maine Central car in the Guilford Rail Systems paint!

Not meaning to stir up any controversy, but now that the DRRR has been using the Jamesburg Connection to the new wye in Farmingdale to run their freights, has there been any pushback/negative feedback from the NIMBY crowd in the Jamesburg/Monroe area?

I was hearing some for a little bit, mainly regarding increasing traffic. Nothing recently though.

Nice to see you posting again CJPat!

They had 11 or 12 for Woodhaven.
