EL(s): Easterly Limit(s) or the signal(s) controlling WB entrance into an interlocking.
WL(s): 1) As above, but for EB movements or 2) as singular shorthand for CPF-WL or the Willows, CPF-WL having both WLs and ELs.
Single to Single: Can be part of a Rule 241 permission to pass a Stop signal at an interlocking or other wayside signal or also part of a train order for a number of circumstances.
Da Hill: My appropriation of the term for the topography that finds its summit near East Gardner/MP 341. The easterly slope is Ashburnham Hill, the westerly Royalston Hill, Ashburnham presenting the somewhat greater challenge.

For Christmas this year and in 2021 me and my co-conspirators at the Danbury Pen would like...

For you to help the foamers to realize that despite all their bitching the past 35 years about Pan Am and Guilford, that:
1) now they no longer will see a variety of ancient motive power, rainbow consists, and friendly crews trackside anymore.
2) They will get that cold, corporate railroad atmosphere, with long, plain looking intermodal trains, modern GE and EMD lash ups that all look the same.
3) Suddenly you won't have a good reason to have a camera trackside anymore since it will be the same monotonous stuff day in and day out.
4) But Hey, you all got what you wished for in the end.

CSX still has hundreds of oldies-but-goodies in their fleet, especially for the EMD fans: GP38-2s, GP39-2s, GP40-2s, MP15ACs, MP15Ts, GP30 road slugs, GP35 road slugs, SD38-2s, SD40-2s, SD50s...

Are you suggesting that ST crews will suddenly become "unfriendly" when they hire on with CSX?

What exactly constitutes a "friendly crew" anyway? I see this term a lot. Does it mean that the conductor waved or the engineer tooted the horn? (There is plenty of that on CSX, as thousands of YouTube videos demonstrate.) Is a crew assumed to be "unfriendly" if they didn't wave or toot? (If that's the case, I think it's an unfair assumption.)

You made a fair point about the definition of a friendly crew.

You didn't knock down any of my other assumptions about everyone getting the worst of what they wished for.

Wasn't trying to knock down anything; just asking a question and making a couple comments.
