Akron-Newstead Historical Society presents:
Cummings Cement
Founded in the 1870's, it contributed greatly to Newstead as
the "Cement Capital" of the United States. Few
of its landmarks remain, but the stone pillars marking
the driveway of the Cummings brothers homes are intact.
The presentation is by Town & Village Historian Don Holmes
and Town Supervisor Dave Cummings
