CTA Heads Up...Actually Several "Heads Ups"

Those of you who are far, far away and wanna book cheap air fares to get to the next big "L" charter, the 2011 IRM Snowflake....here's a big 'heads up"...Sunday, March 27, 2011, from 9am til 6 pm. Details in the next IRM quarterly. And "yes" we'll do the "race" again.

Next test runs for the AC5000 prototype "L" cars...the Purple and Yellow lines...simultnaeously. Then after that, they return to the Red line for a run 'em til they drop session. Gotta get those miles in.

How do we sign up?

"Details in the next IRM quarterly".....

"Details in the next IRM quarterly".....that means there will be a signup form in the next issue of "Rail & Wire", published by IRM. After the publication is delivered, details and signup will appear on the IRM website. By March, expect announcements at various railfan events and possibly media coverage, which presents the information about the charter to the general public. Last year we went from four cars to six. This year we're starting with a six car train, but don't expect that to be expanded. The basic limitation is the lack of public toilet facilities on CTA property.

OK thanks, wasn't sure what the IRM Quarterly was. I read about the previous excursion here and was keeping my eyes peeled for the next opportunity.
