That CSX business train must be making the rounds!

On February 28, I saw it heading northbound through Folkston, GA, with the same equipment!

I was wondering what that was, I saw the train back into union station track 3 around 11am. I was wondering what was going on...

The name on the profile for that one said something about Sales & Marketing, on the "TMAI" screen NIP. The last couple weeks I saw a couple that were listed as "Tony Ingram Special".

Its actually called an observation car. Just learned that in school.....lol

Is there a (photo?) roster of CSX's Office car fleet.

Are CSX'x F40s still equipped with HEP for those passenger cars?

I would imagine they are since many times they are the only loco's attached to the cars when an extra is run.

I can't remember (I used to be a frequent visitor to the neighborhood where the CSXT office cars lived in Jax.) how many power cars CSX has, but I thought they had at least two with HEP generators, for the days before the F40's. Probably more efficient when they're on the road to use the F40's HEP, and then run off the generator cars when they're parked somewhere for a while.

I re-call a couple being powered by an Amtrak Genesis in Southampton Street Yard (Amtrak) during the DNC. Supposedly this was also to be used as an "Escape Train" if anything happened, which is funny because it's on the opposite side of the city. The car parked at South Station was connected to ground power at the station.

I would assume they are always connected to ground power when possible. The power cars aren't new, as they were required in the pre-F40 days, since I don't think even the old F-Units had HEP.

In this shot, you can see the power car is the first unit behind the F40s. I want to say that's the "Kentucky" but my memory is getting fuzzy:

I believe your fuzzy memory is sharp in this case. My notes show this to be car 994363, Kentucky.
