CP ballast cleaning Mechanicville

I was in Mechanicville today and noticed the ballast looked good and piles of dirt along the right of way. It looks like the spoil of a ballast cleaner. Did they do that when they did a lot of tie renewal on the line?

I don't know, but a friend witnessed CP doing ballast clean-up with some sort of track machine about 2 weeks ago in Cohoes.

Cohoes isn’t too far down the line from Mechanicville so it’s possible it was done that same week. Thank you for the reply.
