Newburyport/Rockport Line trains are experiencing significant delays due to a low speed upright derailment near Beverly. Buses will operate up to North Beverly/Montserrat for a train connection to Newburyport/Rockport.

Looks like we have a derailment today.

All Haverhill Line trains will make additional stops at Oak Grove station until further notice to accommodate Orange Line passengers.
Commuter Rail trains can stop at Oak Grove? I didn't realize there was a connection to the Haverhill Line.

Oak Grove has roughly the same platform setup as Malden Center (just the concourse is above the tracks). The Western Route has a platform on the parking lot side.

On August 31, 2022 at 1:00 pm In an article entitled "Man Injured After Being Hit by MBTA Commuter Rail Train in Concord, Mass.", Marc Fortier of the NBC 10 staff wrote: Man Injured After Being Hit by MBTA Commuter Rail Train in Concord, Mass.
A medical helicopter was called to transport the victim

A man was seriously injured after he was struck by an MBTA Commuter Rail train in Concord, Massachusetts, on Wednesday morning.

Concord police said the crash occurred around 10:30 a.m. at the Commonwealth Avenue crossing. The Concord police and fire departments both responded to the scene.

Initial reports from Concord police said the train had struck a vehicle. But they later said that the incident involved a person and not a vehicle.

MBTA Transit Police said an adult male intentionally entered into the right of way as a Commuter Rail train was approaching. The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital. An update on his condition was not immediately available.

Commonwealth Ave in Concord is in West Concord, right near the West Concord station.

As it is right near the station, it would be hard for the train to hit you by surprise, therefore....

Chaos at South Station this afternoon. I arrived on a train from JFK/UMass that got stuck for several minutes waiting for an open track. I arrived at 3:30 to find huge crowds on the platform, some waiting for trans that should have left at 2:50. About 2:40 they called the 3:35 Framingham train on track 10, which I got on, and trhe conutor told me that tracks 1 through 6 were out of service due to some sort of electrical problem, and the trains on those tracks, including the 2:50 to Worcester, were trapped there.

Does anyone know what happened?

Yesterday, Wed Sep 21, Lowell train 327 (4:40 from North Station) rolled into Anderson/Woburn on time. It then had a mechanical that caused it to be cancelled there. Passengers were picked up by 329, the 5:25pm departure (so a 45+ minute delay for those going north of Woburn). The equipment's turn, 330, was cancelled. Inbounds from Wilmington south were picked up by Haverhill 218 that is routed via the Wildcat. Inbounds from North Billerica and Lowell suffered a 90 minute gap in service.

Signal issues near Wilmington this morning on the Lowell Line. Everything was 35-45 minutes later, including 300, 302, and 304. Plus, the real-time information system was not working on the platforms. Stefan's tracker showed some of the trains, but 302 in particular was not visible.

Haverhill Line looks like it's out of commission RR east of Andover this afternoon. All service terminating at Andover, busing beyond, and at least one trainset stuck in Haverhill. Saw some internet reports of one or more washouts/slides on the line.

Between about 10:30 am and 2 pm five Amtrak trains were delayed 2 hours or more. MBTA Twitter said trees
near Mansfield. Did the trees take out catenary or signals? Did MBTA run any bus bridges to maintain service?
Thanks
