CMQ 9017 is back in service, and CMQ 2004 has been sent to the Rockland Branch, while the 2006 has been sent back to the main system.

Figure it was time to update the list. Not much change beside some of the old lease units shipping out and addition on two CEFX GP38-2/ GP38-3. Think right now is also the first or second time all the barns are up and running (soon after 9004 (down from Jan 2017 till March 2018) was repaired 9017 was down need repairs. Before that 9022 wasn’t fully operational till fall 2017).

Some say its for storage at Derby. Not sure. Surprised myself. Didn't they get rid of the GP35's?

Storage at Derby.

They are supposedly power short, not 10 SD60's short, so I wonder if we'll see them store 7 or 8 and then use a couple against the fee for storage.

Thinking the same thing with CMQ being power short. Last I heard they temporarily have use of Pan Am MEC 7534 (no idea if they still are) as part of the increase fright between NMJ and Brownsville Junction. Also hearing a couple of days ago that barn 9020 may be down if true that doesn’t help things. Finally a year ago it was said that CMQ was going to lease 4 Gp38-3 from CITX and have only have three of them (no idea if the finally one is still on the way). With that said it wouldn’t surprise me to see them working out to use some of the units going there for storage.

3 or 4 were into ED yesterday, based on a sighting in the PAR subforum.

The units should be on WANM today. CMQ has been getting the increased traffic going to Pan Am, along with a lot of east west traffic. They also have atleast 2 maybe 3 barns down right now, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they were leasing all 10.

To be clear currently all 10 are for storage with CIT paying them to store them. They certainly could use some power, but 10 SD60's would add about 25% to the roster unit count wise and significantly more than that on a horsepower basis, so it would seem almost certainly unlikely that 10 units would be put into service. I could see a couple being used for free in lieu of CIT paying for storage.
