As many of you know, the 2009 National Competiton Rail Rodeo is being hosted by the Chicago Transit Authority, this week starting on Thursday. The competition will be on Saturday.http://www.apta.com/conferences_calenda ... ook_09.pdf

The Rodeo is in conjunction with the APTA convention next week, also in Chicago. Man there must be at least ten "L" charters. Wonder if the Historical Cars 4272-72 will get out.

Short schedule of the convention....

What's interesting is the official industry take on several subjects and the opinions on same offered by the so-called Internet "experts", LOL.

If you're good, you'll find the video that acquaints rodeo participants with the CTA 3200 series cars they'll compete on.

I competed in two International Roadoes as a member of SEPTA's mechanical team. I can say that the competition is tough and only the best from each system represented make it to the International level. My trips to the Big Apple and Toronto were great fun and very educational, especially seeing how other systems deal with similar problems.
Good luck to all of the teams and my home team, 'Go Septa'! :-D
