I recently visited relatives in Greentown, Indiana. While there,
I saw that Greentown Grain was shipping grain by truck to
Kokomo Grain, rather than using its Central Railroad of Indy
(CERA) ex-Clover Leaf siding to load grain onto railcars. The
railroad looked in decent shape (it had been rebuilt after a
recent derailment, I was told), but I've got to wonder what
it is being used for if on-line grain shippers aren't using it.
Does anyone know the status of this line?
