Catherine Rinaldi Named President of MNRR

Announcement was made earlier today:

The MTA Metro-North Railroad is welcoming its sixth President: Catherine Rinaldi, a veteran of the Metro-North Railroad and Long Island Rail Road, will become the first woman to serve in this role. Rinaldi has served as Acting President of Metro-North since July 2017, and previously was Metro-North’s Executive Vice President, beginning in 2015.

I wonder how much background or experience she has had in operations? Without such experience her performance will be doubtful at best in my opinion.

since Don Nelson any of of presidents have been doubtful as for transportation experience , even the one that came from Amtrak.

Peter Stangle (not a transportation guy)
Don Nelson ( big time transportation guy)
Virgil Conway (not a transportation guy)
Peter Canito ( not much of a transportation guy)
Howard Permut (just a office guy)
Joe Giulietti (big time transportation guy)
