CL: Ricardo the Bull was photographed attempting to walk eastward on Track 2 - the inter-track wall between Tracks 2 and 3 along with the "dip" in the west end of the Track 2 platform is clearly visible... From what I recall Newark Station platform lengths can (or once could) accommodate 18 car trains...
What amazed me is just how much Media coverage Ricardo got for his escape - examples:

Maybe Ricardo was trying to get to the Red Bull Arena in Harrison is just another thought about where he may have been trying to go to...He did "steer" clear of the PATH tracks with their third rail...He never got close to Dock Bridge with its open deck thankfully...Does anyone remember the instrumental song "The Lonely Bull" by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass (1962) which came to my mind reading about Ricardo's plight?

Taking note to his pictured location on Track 2 there may have been a way if necessary to "corral" him by slowly running two light engines or equipment sets towards one another creating a "pen" that he could not escape from - tranquilizer darts did sedate him for his move off the NWK station tracks - was there any video or pictures of the Ricardo rescue effort by first responders and local animal control?
Let's just say Ricardo was "Bullish" on Newark that morning
(with apologies to Merrill-Lynch)
All's well that ends well...MACTRAXX
