Boise Budds

The 4 former MBTA Boise are still in MNCR's deadline.
they would make great fake 8600 New Haven cars for behind a FL-9
two cab cars 1401 -1405 and two coaches 1402 - 1416.
the cars were used on Harlem line during Bombardier shortage but have problems hitting third rail when large crowds are on board. the cars do not have airbag suspention to keep them at height.

Thats a great idea! What happened to the ex. VRE cars?

The VRE cars went back at end of the 2 year lease, they are now at CALTRANS in California.
plus 4 went to Vermont for their now defunct Flyer.

The cars that were up in Vermont still had many of their MTA-applied accessories, like signs for Railfone, etc. Interesting cars, to say the least. They are still stored on VTR up in Burlington, property of VT Agency of Tranportation.
