Broadway Limited (BLI) says that NYC fans have asked for it, and they have decided to deliver - a very limited additional run of their very first project – the NYC J1e 4-6-4, as well as the J1d 4-6-4 with the Elesco feedwater heater (FWH). One of the J1d’s - #5275 - will have striped running boards and tender. Due during the Summer of 2004, a limited quantity of these NYC Hudsons with a completely new drive mechanism and electrical pickup design with new locomotive numbers, as well as some of the original numbers. From the BLI Web site, the new releases will be - J1e NYC: #5343, 5344. J1e NYC block ltrg: #5324, 5330, 5334, 5335. J1e Big Four no scoop: #5395, 5398. J1d NYC with Elesco FWH: #5297. J1d NYC with Elesco FWH & striping: #5275. J1d TH&B with Elesco FWH & striping: #502. Both a J1e & J1d will be offered unlettered.
