Along Chelten Hills Drive between Washington Lane and Greenwood Ave. there is a large open area that parallels the tracks. You can catch the following trains:
Airport Line Regional Rail
Warminster Line Regional Rail
West Trenton Line Regional Rail
Lansdale/Doylestown Line Regional Rail

Best place to catch inbounds in the early afternoon as the sun would be over your shoulder. If your a little adventurous you can hike down in to the woods east of Washington Lane and catch the trains as they go through the large rock formations that were carved through many years ago for a differnt railroad in a different era.

Correction to previous post, west of Washington Lane Chelten Hills Drive becomes Glenside Ave.

I get a lot of nice pictures at Temple University Station.

I think it would be pretty cool to do a time lapse from the seat behind the railfan window on the Silverliner V from Thorndale to Market East. You just zoom in so it shows only the front of where your going.

FWIW, I spent a good few hours with my Bolex and Tripod at Temple U today, and nobody seemed to care - the roving security guard there was more interested in talking photography, most crews just seemed to ignore me (or wave).

Is there any rhyme or reason as to where the SL II/IIIs are going to be? It kinda stinks spending a good chunk of a day waiting for a set to get the right shot, then moving on. I still have a few spots where I wanna get them on 16mm before I start editing what I've got (and I've only got 400 feet so far...).

Interiors are gonna be 'fun' - with a 1/80th second shutter and 250 speed film, you just need some light...

Well, they aren't on any runs that start or end at Frazer.

the linked photo shows only 1 of the access points. What about the parking lot entrance Myrtle or Marion Ave?

Out of morbid curiosity, is there any way I can tell what does?

I've half jokingly thought maybe i should go out trying to shoot IVs and Vs, I'll likely bump into nothing but IIs and IIIs then :/

More practical, I should start planning an M-2 shoot now and do it in the spring while those things are still going around MN...
