7881 is out of the EDY paint booth in bright orange and 7878 has gone in.

Anyone have a closeup of the logo on the side? I'm trying to figure out what the image in the center of it is.

It's hard to tell from the pictures of 7881 but here's a photo of B&E "Collectibles" from Craig's list that shows the logo is a bear!

Unless something has changed dramatically since I grew up around Greenfield, bears are hardly common along the line, so I wonder if this is the thinking behind the bear logo:

There are photos/videos on the CSX-B&E Railfans FaceBook page of B100 heading east from Greenfield to Ayer on Monday 10/21/24 led by BERX power, including freshly painted C40-8W 7878. Don't know why NS power wasn't in charge. Apparently this B100 was delayed 6-7 hours by track outage between E Deerfield an Millers Falls?

Knowledgeable poster on CSX NE/BERX Facebook page says 5 more locos are set for painting with 7880 next in line.

7879 is out of the booth with Genesee & Wyoming heritage paint. I would personally prefer B&M heritage theme as in former 77, but I don’t know if G&W has ever shown any interest in that direction on any of its other lines.
