As a contractor with the Museum of Science & Industry, I sponsor a free private "L" charter for my "MSI Friends & Family." Since this year's train is four cars, I might have room for a railfan or two. Train will be Orange line cars, will board at Ashland/63 on the Green line at 0930, Sunday, June 27. Tickets, though free, are needed. Routing is Green to Loop, Pink to Cermack/54 and back, Brown to Kimball (lunch) then south like a Jackson PK train through the subway and up the southside incline as in days of old to Cottage Grove/63, then back to start at about 1515.

Remember, though, this is a family outing, so there will be families and music piped aboard. But there will still be my "extrordinary comments" over the PA plus an architectual docent through the Loop. There's a huge $4 CTA parking lot at Ashland. E-mail for details and confirmation.

Now is your chance, folks. If I were in town this weekend, I'd be in line! David gives the best darn CTA tours.
