P40 update from CTDOT's August 2019 "SLE News from the Rails" (linked below):

"The first of the six P40s currently out for overhaul is anticipated to return to CTDOT for testing in early 2020."

I was contacted by someone who recently visited Beech Grove. He stated the former NJT 4803 was stenciled "CDOT 6711" and he also saw the 834 with "CDOT 6701" stenciled on it. Should this go in order, the NJT's will be 6708-6711 and the former Amtrak's will be 6700-6707.

Does anybody know what the liveries of the new P40s will be?

Similar to the GPs that were recently overhauled. New CTrail black/red/white design.

Last June three of the six at Beech Grove were being torn apart for the beginning of their overhauls. Has anyone heard anything since?

first one is due back sometime this spring , is last I heard.
and all P40's are being renumbered in 67** numbers
