Hi All
My question dealing with American Freedom Train # 1, which is ex Reading # 2101. When the Freedom train came to Boston, Mass and was exhibited at Fan Pier in Boston. not far from the now gone Anthony Fan Pier restaurant.
I would like to know, the name of the number of the train yard, where the locomotive was serviced while in Boston. As far as I know, the New Haven had quite a few yards in South Boston, so what yard is this? Again Thank you, Pat.

I'm pretty sure this is the old Dover St yard/engine facility.
This was originally the NY&NERR and later NHRR.
If you look closely, you can see the turntable is still there!
I regret never getting over there in my teens as most of what was there was largely intact until the 1980's.

Dover street was gone by 1975. MBTA present day Cabot Yard construction on that site began around 1972.
