Spotted in Hollywood and Hallandale today, work extra #448,which is also the motor number.FEC here uses locomotive number for work extras, and frequently call locos, motors. This train consisted of what looked like articulated double stack, well cars about 1/4 mile long. But when I got a better look,no well.Just a flat bed ,low sides and no bulk heads. The space between the cars was bridged so a crawler tracked back hoe excavator could travel the entire length of the train. They were picking up ribbon rail that was replaced about 2 months ago.The cars carried GERX reporting marks. The last two had the logo,(GERX The Slot Machine).Which I guess refers to the hoe being able to transit the slot between the car sides.
