SU-100 left Binghamton at 4:30 p.m. with 4008 on the point!

It's expected to encounter the local on the Delaware Division, so it will probably be held at Port Jervis until the 12:32 passenger train arrives (unless it sneaks through after the 10:30)

NYSW lists reports 4006 and 4008 on lease to NYSW.

Wow this railroad is just interesting to watch. First they sell the B40-8's now we are leasing two of them back. They had the chance to take their SD70M's back yet they leased them out again resulting in the leasing of more power to pull their own trains. All in all its fun to watch especially with the booming trash business on the Southern Division.

Trainfreak--

I have a license, a car (several in fact, and one is a minivan), and no school, but I probably have no better chance of seeing 4008 come east at 4 a.m. than you do.

Ah, youth is wasted on the young!

TF--enjoy these days! You'll enjoy the future even more, but don't let this time slip away....

As i understand it, my #2209 was coupled up to this unit. Is this the first time #2209 has left Binghamton on a road freight?

NYSW did NOT sell the GEs. They were on a 15-year lease, which they let expire.

The reason why #4008 and #2209 were run on SU100 is that they were being tested.
#4008 is going to P&W and #2209 is going to lease on NYS&W.

Looks like walter rich has realized old GE's are only good for setting the trees above the tracks on fire while the crew waits the fifteen minutes for the motors to load up... If you don't believe that, there was a great story about R&N's old B23's in some magazine a few years ago.
