The 2007 annual meeting, convention and train show sponsored by the New York Central System Historical Society will be held in Buffalo NY over the weekend of April 27-28-29. Headquarters will be the Holiday Inn on Grand Island. Several very special events are being planned. As details are confirmed we will make additional announcements. Right now we want those who are interested in the history of the NYC to put these dates on their calendars.

The New York Central System Historical Society is holding its 2007 convention in Buffalo NY on April 27-28-29, 2007. On Saturday, April 28, 2007, the NYCSHS is sponsoring a train show to be held at the Holiday Inn-Grand Island from 9am to 3pm. $5 admission, $35 vendor table. The Saturday evening public program will be presented by Jim Van Brocklin. On Sunday, April 29, 2007, the NYCSHS is sponsoring a rare-mileage 80-mile round trip on the Falls Road Railroad between Lockport and Brockport. $45 fare includes admission to Medina Railroad Museum, photo runby and box lunch. Order tickets early because train capacity is only 250. Info: NYCSHS 2007 Convention, 160 Parkledge Drive, Amherst NY 14226.

Railfan Magazine shows an incorrect date for this trip. The correct date is Sunday, April 29. Reserve space soon because the train consist will be only five cars. Also, vendors interested in space at the train show on April 28 should act soon because less than twenty tables remain available.

We will soon be posting a list of the activities that have been arranged for convention attendees on Friday, April 27. Watch this board for an update. We will also be posting a list of the workshops and clinics that will be scheduled for Saturday, April 28, to run concurrently with the train show at the Grand Island Holiday Inn.

The Convention was great, it was my first one, and I had a great time. Nice to meet many of you there as well. Hope to see you next year!
