signal work "cars"

there have been a few maintenace looking "cars" well past where the trains stop at oak grove. are these being used to do the track signal work? why park them so far down the line?

Just a thought here: thats alsowhere the Orange Line tracks connect to the outside rail network, i.e., the Haverhill-Reading line. Could they be sitting there waitng for pick up by a Guilford freight. The "T" might also be donating / returning them to a trolley museum(some of the Ts work cars are actually owned by Seashore in Maine, or Branford in Connecticut)

not any more. Last I remember, they have had the line disconected for a while. The don't use the tail track anymore though. That's prob. why they are storing them there, since Wellington Yard would become even more crowded than it already is(well, at night time)
