As of last night, both veterans ALP-45s were in Bay Head: 4507 is on a shuttle set and 4534 is on a Multilevel set. There’s also a PL on the line; the rest of the sets have ALPs.

Also, at least two new deadheads have arisen with the new schedule changes:
X320, an evening deadhead from Long Branch to NY (runs somewhere around 9:30-10:00 PM)
X434, an evening Bay Head to Long Branch deadhead that becomes 4375; X434 runs just ahead of 4378

I'm surprised there is no MMC - Bay Head deadhead, would be common being there are no services that bring sets to replace the shuttles unless the shop moves run.

Business must be picking up. I'm seeing 6-car shuttles now, and a 7-car shuttle occasionally. More heads in windows on westbound trains that normally are almost empty as they go through Bradley Beach.

Did I read that the 2300s are no longer running? So much for the Hoboken trip I was planning with the grandkids.

"Take mass transit!" they scream. Good in theory, but you can't get there from here.

Correct, the 2300s aren’t running until next year. I saw a five car set on 4760 while driving home from work today.

4507 is working the 3200 and 2600 series now. paired with 5014, its Comet salad and 6075.

6075 has recently returned to service after having PTC installed.

You can change in Secaucus for Hoboken. I may have even heard they are removing the extra charge for going via Secaucus for the duration.

Per Facebook, there is some kind of work train on the Raritan River Interchange with 4112 and 4204.

Slow orders between Long Branch and Middletown today. Northbound trains wrong railing from Red Bank to Hazlet, and MoW is starting work on track two now, not sure if any rail equipment is coming though.

Any chance this work move is for Red Bank, Long Branch or Bay Head Donny? There is currently a cut of tie and ballast cars in Red Bank yard, possibly picking them up?

Last month, a friend and I filmed the evening rush hour in Long Branch; the video is linked below. Enjoy!
