Saw the 152 pulling a single bi-level coach westbound through Northport at the crossing right on the heels of a late-afternoon westbound LIRR passenger train around 4:30 or so.

I don't know if this counts as out and about, but I got these three pictures on my pocket computer a few months ago from a trip by train to some friends in Jersey. (By the way, a pleasant experience on both sides of Penn.)

#152, #168 and #157 were seen twice in Carle Place, at 10:37 AM this morning headed west and 1:04 PM headed east as it was pulling Welded Rail Train. When the train left this morning headed west it was coming from the Atlantic Pipe siding in Hicksville. #158 was the Jamaica switcher.

#168 is now the Jamaica switcher as of today, #167 was in action running lite at around 1:50 PM this afternoon also in Jamaica. At Morris Park there was one coupled with a CE Car (unit # unknown) and a other coupled with 6 CE cars (also unit # unknown).

Of all of the MP15acs that are on the LIRR Roster, here is a list of which ones I think are still on the roster.

If this information is correct there are a total of 15 MP15acs left on the LIRR roster not counting 151,155,156 and 159 which are used by NYA.
Hope this helps

Do they do that because the unit is OOC or because it's facing east?

19 of the original 23 still in service? That's pretty good for a fleet that is fairly old now.

The 165 has been sitting with the 102 derelict for months, perhaps even a year or more, on the track next to Atlantic Ave., and the door on the godforsaken thing has been left open the entire time. I pass by it on Atlantic Ave fairly often, and I would not be surprised if birds or vermin have taken up residence in the cab. Anybody know what happened to 165, and 102, and are they to be repaired, for that matter? Also, the earlier post said the 170 shaat the bed. What happened to it, and when? Where is it being stored now? Thanks.

If you see an MP-15 towing a DM or DE, its one of two things. A roustabout taking an Engine Back to the shops, or a Change of Engines.
