Anyone have any good insight on the EL and the auto business? Finished autos, parts or raw materials ?

Did EL ever get any traffic out of Ford Metuchen (Edison) or GM Linden via drayage ?

How did the finished autos off GTW interchange work? All via Buffalo ?

Did any finished autos other than Mahwah Ford's run west of Marion into Chicago ?

What was the flow of Louisville Ford's off the L&N onto the EL ?

Any insight on the Framingham traffic or Mount Pocono (Chrysler) ?

Thanks for any help or insight.

I remember double level open cars full of Jeeps going south through Scranton during college. Mixed among TOfC/COFC was Cat equipment, cab crated, maybe for export.

As Ford moved out of Edgewater, NJ, they built the replacement facility in Mahwah, NJ, 100% Erie/EL service. Autoracks yarded as far as Hillburn, north side of Suffern, NY.
