NJ Transit Uboats to Brazil

Post by pjw1967 » Mon Jul 27, 2015 2:30 pm

Thought folks might be interested in these 2 units. In July of 2007, I was riding around our ocean terminal. We had been carrying lots of used GE locos to Brazil around that time. The bulk of them seemed to by BN units. I saw these 5 and something looked familiar so I stopped to take a closer look. Bingo. 2 NJ Transit units, 4167 and 4180 were in the line. http://s1355.photobucket.com/user/pjw1967/library/U34CH" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I wonder if they ever ran again and, if so, are they still running? You see old GE locos running now and again in Brazil on http://www.railpictures.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

I'm pretty sure that they were sold as parts units, unfortunately. Thanks for the pictures!
