This might be more of a question than a gripe, but I'll start with the gripe.

#1608 is always late. Every morning, this train is at least 5 minutes late probably 90% of the time. As a result, my train (#1610) ends up creeping along behind #1608, ending up 5-10 minutes late into Hoboken as well.

Coming home tonight, #1625 had no breaks, so we all had to switch trains. This brings up the issue of mechanical problems. It seems like at least a couple times a week a PVL train is cancelled due to mechanical problems. Is this a problem common on other lines as well? I can not wait until we get more new equipment up here...hopefully that will take care of both problems.

Thoughts/comments anyone?

I wouldn't count on the new equipment really breaking down too much less....but 40 year old equipment is running on the PVL.... (yes, some GP40's are almost 40 years old) and the CNJ units are what, 35 years old? So things are bound to be a little less reliable.
