I'm just curious, does anyone know what equipment is in storage on NJT property? I am aware of the ALP-44s on the Lackawanna Cutoff and MMC, as well as the Comet III fleet at Bay Head. Are there any more GP40FH-2s or F40PH-2CATs on property? I am aware also that 2 F40s are currently in work train service.

The last non-MNCR GP40FH, 4139 has left NJT. There may still be a few F40s at MMC (in addition to active 4119 and 4120). Not sure if any Arrows remain in storage. The Comet II club car (5459) is among several cars stored dead at MMC.

Last I heard, the only F40PH-2CATs remaining on NJT property (with the exception of 4119 and 4120) are 4127, 4114, and I believe 4116. All the GP40PH-2A units (with the exception of 4145) are still on the property, at the MMC. I haven't heard much about those units. The 4 ALP-44s at the MMC are still there, not sure of their exact location, might be in one of those locomotive lines outside. I have found that in the locomotive lines lay 4110, 4111, and 4107, all of which still have the HEP motors, and 4107 is graffiti covered across the side.

Went for a swim during Sandy and never returned to service. The club has since disbanded.

Any idea where it's headed?

4139 is the shop switcher at Kinki-Sharryo in Piscataway.

Most of the various locomotives you mentioned were the same ones that sat in the Garwood deadline a few years back.

As mentioned, due to the vandalism and graffiti (as seen here on 4107), they were moved to the MMC:

Mostly PTC mods for NJT. Every few days you might see cars at the small Conrail yard in Bound Brook either waiting for pick-up or set-out.

That was a temp storage location due to Sandy related damage, and keeping MMC a little more "fluid" for dragging equipment in the yard
Parts of MMC had flooded out as well.

50 cars built, 11 cabs (two were purchased and delivered to MNCR, and traded to NJT, returned to MNCR
and now at Croton).
