Uh oh I know this guy. Three years in the pen whew. Dummy loses a great paying job only a few years until retirement, has to make restitution and is now a convicted felon talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Dutch,I like Philip's headline it's catchy.

Brief, fair-use quote from above link to equally brief article ;-)

He also got three years.
Federal prosecutors say 56-year-old William Talerico must also pay $54,600 in restitution under the sentence imposed Tuesday. The Beachwood resident had pleaded guilty last year to affecting commerce by extortion.

From at least January 2006 to April 2012, Talerico was a supervisor of stations for NJ Transit, responsible for overseeing maintenance and custodial functions at some facilities.

During that time, he agreed to accept and took cash from numerous vendors. In exchange, Talerico used his authority and influence to help the vendors get work.

According to an FBI statement, besides the jail term and fine, Billy was also sentenced to three years of supervised release. https://www.fbi.gov/newark/press-releas ... om-vendors" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Last year, another Transit supervisor who worked with Billy Talerico, was sentenced to a year of probation and six months of home confinement with electronic monitor, after pleading guilty to similar charges.
