Just passed 3676 and 3653 testing on the D line. I'm currently on 3660, which is one of the last 9 original Type 7s remaining. Ride them while you can!

Per NETransit. . .

Stored wreck 3609 has been chosen for rebuild, and has begun prep-for-ship to Alstom to be remade into a new working car from pieces of other wreck victims. With that selection, Riverside's other wrecked 3600's--3602, 3630, 3650, and 3693--are now slated to be scrapped for parts (along with 3679, which has been at Alstom for the past year being harvested of its parts).

Do the cars repainted prior to overhaul get repainted again as part of the work or do they keep their "old new" paint?

Only 7 original 7s left in service. 3660 is out of service for the overhaul, which I just rode less than a week ago. 3694 is now the only newly painted original type 7 in service.

I'm so pleased my favorite scheme lasted the longest. I really wish that car could keep the green around the sign!
(It's not actually a different scheme, the green around the sign is the remnant of a wrap. I still think it looks cool though)
