GP40-MC Repair Contract

Post by trains18 » Mon Apr 01, 2019 9:27 pm

Are they just repairing 1118, 1132, 1136, and 1137 or are they excercising all the options to fix all of the GP40-MC fleet?

As far as I know, these 4 GP40MCs are getting the same treatment as 1116 and 1119. They are going to be switchers, but equipped with HEP so they can operate in revenue service as needed.

Not sure about the rest of them though!

Not sure what's going on, but the 1124 is out behind BET with most everything removed behind the cab.

Update: As the MPI program has now been expanded, there will be no additional in-house overhauls of F40PH-2C/F40PHM-2Cs. Keolis will instead perform major engine repairs on GP40MCs as required. Units completed: 1124-(in program)

When did 1127 return to service, active as of 7/19 according to NE Transit?
