"Overcrowding On The Babylon Branch "

On the news a day or so ago, they stated with their usual traffic reports about heavy overcrowding on the LIRR Babylon Branch, no seats available, standees only.

Does this have anything to do with the Penn Station fiasco ?

I take the train every day on the Babylon branch and can say the only train I've noticed that's more overcrowded than normal is the 5:36pm from Penn (especially on a Friday, damn Weekenders...)

7:28am, 7:41am & 8:08am from Lindenhurst have all been fine. Couple standees, but no more than usual.

Some Babylon trains had added stops in the AM rush due to a service suspension on the Long Beach branch.
