Three more UP units will be retired and scrapped from the Weber Canyon rear-ender.

UP GSMITR 03 was rear ended by UP GSSDPX 06. The GSMITR 03 had UP 6676 and UP 6658 on the head end and UP 5974 as the rear DPU. The GSSDPX 06 had UP 5844 and UP 7223 on the head end and UP 6336 as the rear DPU. Both were loaded 17,000 ton grain trains.

The DPU of the GSMITR 03 and the two head end units of the GSSDPX 06 will be retired and scrapped. Units scrapped will be:

UP 5974
UP 5844
UP 7223
